When the news isn't the news

On my constant search for the very latest flight sim news to show on the site, I do my best to check the source of the news to make sure it's a) current and b) correct.

I'm sure I get it wrong sometimes. I'm only human after all. But I've had to smile at the number of sites reporting on "Eaglesoft's latest addition" - the Eaglesoft Citation X Extreme V2.0 for FSX - which all point to this link. Take a look on that page and you'll see the product was released on the 20th September, 2009. Not exactly news, is it? The Eaglesoft home page does proclaim "Newest Release", it just doesn't mention that it was almost 2 months ago. So, come on guys, check your sources!

Additionally, most sites seem to have missed the real news, which is that the Eaglesoft FS2004 Citation X Extreme V2.0 Navdata Hotfix 1.81 was actually released on the 4th November, which is a little more timely.

I may not publish the quantity of news here on the Network that you may find elsewhere, but I'd like to think it's quality rather than quantity that counts :)
