Hey Derek - you are MOST welcome. Glad it helped :) It was the best "fix" I could think of for your requirement :) Well I was flying from Hong Kong to Johannesburg (FAJS) tonight with a 747-200. I was using FSAirlines - virtual airline - and then i paused it so i could watch movies with the wife and then came back and wasn't far from landing and didn't realize my altitude to I turned on my landing lights only to realize I wasn't below 10,000 feet so I was penalized - i canceled the flight and Now have to do it again LOL - what a pain!!

Oh well - these things happen LOL - the point is; I know and understand frustration - it has become a companion on my long flights hehehe

Thanks Sean. I followed your excellent advice and now have the airspeed without the boxes. Yesterday i flew from San francisco to Salt Lake city and landed in the fog, then on to Witchita and another successful landing. Today maybe in to Chicago.

It has been snowing here for four days and nights so this morning I will have to go and shovel the driveway at around 10 degrees below zero with a brisk wind. Brrrrrrrrrr

Thanks again for the tip.

Ah ok i get what you are saying. What you could try is to press Shift+Z and it will give you info at the top of the screen. You can press it upto 3 times before it removes the info again but that will show your altitude and speed. See if that works for you. Hope so. I usually use Virtual Cockpit and then you can raise yourself in the seat if needed.

Thanks Sean When I am on short final I press W to remove the instrument panel so that I can see to land but there are info boxes right in the road of the runway view, and if I press W again they are gone but I need to see the airspeed for landing.
