Trevor, if you're still looking for island scenery, I would highly recommend the Orbx Australia package. I have the Orbx Pacific Northwest scenery, and it completely blows away all of my other payware scenery. It is NOT photoreal, which turns out to…

For some unusual or interesting scenery to share with other simmers - not the usual cities etc.

The nose looks longer than the usual Sea Venom, thats why I thought it was a Vixen. Cheers.

This is a really fabulous plane, what is it? And where can I get it?

I remember this flight - I wanted to see your Sea Vixen - she's very nice mate.

Great shot Tim - could almost be taken in the mid '40s during the war. Very realistic.

Nice Tim, very nice. Enjoy flying her - they are great little planes.

Beautiful definition Tim. That is a great F14 - is it payware?

Hey Garret, just wanted to let you know that I would come to future ones, but I can't get to this one due to the time (School). Just so you know, take the total that come to the flight and add one, I like the idea.

One in a lifetime photo buddy - to get that cloud wrapped around that great little Pitts like that - wonderful. The angry clouds are amazing too.

Only a flying fanatic can appreciate the quiet of a tranquil dawn at 1500 feet, all on your own with nature and a great little plane.

Multiplayer flight this Friday.

Hi all. This Friday at 8pm (GMT) we are arranging a Multiplayer flight on FSX. All welcome, with only one condition - only single engine prop planes please. I will be using the Alphasim Harvard/ Texan T6, and Manfred and Timothy will be using the same plane with different liveries.

The flight will be called "FSN fun flight". Please join us, and if it is popular, we will make it a regular thing. Look forward to seeing you all then.

Winner of the August screenshot competition - TOM RILEY.

WELL DONE TOM. A great photo. There were some other photos that were very similar, but this one was chosen because of the drama: the planes are large and seem so very close. CONGRATS.

WINNING PHOTO OF THE JULY SCREENSHOT COMPETITION.

This is the winning photo by Randy N. Link. The very unusual choice of plane, great colours in the sky going to black, the moon, and the great scenery below showing the curve of the Earth - this made it a winner. Well done Randy and congratulations.

Hey Garret,

Heard about the earthquake, it didn't hit near you did it? Hope no one in NZ got hurt.

Haha, That would be awesome to see but I don't know too much about rugby (I'd still have fun though!)... I have a few friends who play it a lot. I would love to fly on a cool airline like that!

Sorry about leaving the simultaneous comments but on second thought, if you know of any props that you really like (Vintage or modern) would you let me know please? I have a few cirrus planes and a few cessnas, but I want some more little planes to do some island flying . What do ya think, if you have a list just send it to me, don't waste your time though. Thanks

Hey, I've been looking for a good warbird addon for fsx, any suggestions? Also, what are some of the best ICAO's for NZ, I want to check out where you enjoy flying.

Hi Garret from Devon in the UK. NZ would be my dream place to live, to be precise, Queenstown were my son and family live, but I feel age and my grandchildren in the uk would not agree. An annual 6 week hol is the best I can do. Will keep in touch

Hi Garret... I have just seen your message... i am currently living in London but have lived all over the world. London is not gentle on the eye as New Zealand is and is a place i would love to visit as i have family in Napier. My parents go there often and always come back with stunning images.

Hi Garret!

Thanks for the kind words this morning.
I'm glad you like the shots.
You really are too kind my friend.
To answer your questions though:
Yes I use FSX with the acceleration package, my add-ons are X Graphics and Active Sky X.
When I'm taking photos, I'm not worried about performance that much.
So I max all my settings right out.
The Canyon?
Well, I have to thank Stewart Ballentine and Widar Thorstensen for that.
Stewart drew my attention too it and Widar sent me a link showing me where to find it :

http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=12

I fly in multiplayer for the most part.
You can find me in Helicopter Ops usually in sessions labeled "Irish Air Force"
The handle I use in flight sim is FSXWhitehawk8.
I only still go by Spudchucker2 in here, it's a long story.
I see that you and Tim fly together quite often...I'd love to join you sometime.
I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada so there's quite a time difference I imagine. I should work it out sometime.
Anyway, thanks again for the kind words.
I hope this answers your questions...and if you decide to check out the scenery I think you'll be very happy with it.
Cheers Garret!
