Hey Brian - I have had the same experience with Carenado (and other newer addon's) here in Colorado flying in a snow storm in IMC. REX 2.0 weather definitely affects engine performance. REX 2.0 is awesome and the next step towards reality. Try this.…
thanks Richard, I think that a simple press of H on the keyboard put the deicer on and I have got across the bay and landed safely - no ditching in that icy water!
Only thing I can think of would be to make sure your Engine De-Ice is ON! That could cause and engine failure even if your settints are all set to zero. Sometimes the payware will overwride the default settings in FSX.

having just installed Rex this is exactly what I am looking forward to and those Norwegian fiords are one of my favourite places - this is encouraging!

Very impressive Kevin, enjoyed the flight. I once visited Prince Rupert and we were treated to a day of sunshine when it did not rain! Looks great in X plane, snow very realistic.

yes that is exactly my concern and as you say I can always contact Horizon and check it out. Even using my son's far superior PC (with quad core etc) has its limitations I have found with additional scenery so I don't want to spend even this…
