I'm often asked how we can encourage new members to come along and join the Flight Simulator Network. It's a good question and is key to the success of the site. After all, more members means more involvement and therefore more fun for everyone :) There are a number of ways you can encourage people to join.

Invitations

If you click the Invite tab at the top of the page, you'll be able to invite people to the network. You can invite individual people, or extract the email addresses from a number of different web email applications.

Use a Network Badge

We have a variety of different Network Badges you can install on your web site, blog, Facebook or MySpace profiles, or just about anywhere on the web. You can change the colours etc of the badge to make it blend in nicely with your site.

Banner

We've created a wide banner which is suitable for use in forums etc.

Share content

You can share pretty much everything on the site - pictures, videos, forum posts etc - on other social networking sites, such as Facebook and MySpace. Simply click the Share link at the bottom of individual items and follow the instructions.

Mention us on other sites

Feel free to mention us on other sites you use. Please do check first if it's okay to "promote" other sites in this way - some forums etc aren't too keen on mentioning the "opposition" :)

Participate!

It might sound obvious, but probably the best way to get more people along is by joining in the discussion, adding forum and blog posts, videos and screenshots. Search engines love content. The more content we have here, the more traffic the search engines will send us.
