Hi Chuck:
That scenery is just amazing. Could you post the website for us? I'd like to check it out and see what other areas they might be developing.
Hey Sean: Years ago I did the wood heat thing and it was just alot of work. Granted, there is nothing like a beautiful fire and the warm heat is great, but all the work it took. I finally went with a propane (or you could do natural gas) insert in the fireplace and it was just wonderful! It even came with its own remote control. No muss or fuss. I rate it way better than the "old" way. It was more efficient too.
I've still got a ton of personal flights to make up for those loser AI's that I have, but, its all just for fun!
Keep'em level

Hey there Charles

Yeah my cockpit has taken a backseat lately to the mowing of grass, family gatherings and my work LOL

I need to get the wood cut now which i have and it is the thought of it all makes me procrastinate but i think also a contributing factor is that i still need to get the perspex for the panels to be cut. Once these are done I will have a new flame under my butt LOL and then i can start running wires to switches and finish the MCP and EFIS first.

I have been pondering moving back to FS9 but i think that FSX support is getting better and better. Yeah FMC lol - never used one - ever!! LMAO I still remember FS98 i used to plan a full flight - VORs, NDBs etc etc etc and fly a full trip MANUALLY setting NAV radios and ADF etc. No set GPS and sit back LOL - That was fun because you were always busy. Love the old planes too!!!

Hey if you want me ti "fix" you Wallapa Harbor let me know :) any length, width, lighting and ILS etc :)

Hi Gang
Kip I know what you are talking about with the push buttons. I was telling you that the A400 is an Air Bus and as such it doesn't need a pilot; It needs a baby sitter(lol). That is the reason I only fly classic jets like the B727. These planes nowadays get flown on the ground. You just punch all the details in and away it goes. I don't understand how anybody can enjoy just sitting there and watching for 3-4 hours. I had a great 727 in FS9 with a Delco INS and believe you me, I never had much time to look out the windows with that beauty. Since these classic jets for FSX suck, I will just be happy flying the smaller props and enjoying the view.
I just started a new company in AH based at Wallapa Harbor. Didn't bother to check first that the darn runway is only 52 feet wide. My first arrival there the wind was right donw the centerline so no problem but I bet if the wind gets cross wise it will be a handful. I have to post some screeies for you guys. This scenery is just plain unbelievable. You won't want to fly anything faster than maybe 120 knots.
And Sean, I forgot you were building that cockpit. Good luck on that partner. I wish I had the cash to do it also. I have seen some of the set ups out there and it would be really rewarding to come home from work and just plop my sorry butt in one of those. I don't know why you would have a problem with using an FMC based aircraft though. It seems everybody uses FSUIPC to make the things interface. As for Tile Proxy it is only for ssllllooooooooooowww flight. I have a shot here in the 727 and I had to wait about 3 minutes for the scenery to refresh in order to take the shot but it si a beauty. Anout 10 miles NE of Harrisburg International.

Hope you like. I have to put these on the screenshot page one of these days.
Have fun guys........

Hey Kip

Oh i DO understand the frustrations about being in command NOT to mention AIs that lose rep grrrrrrr

I also dislike planes that just do their own thing LOL all controlling. I will find some planes for you but in the meantime have you tried http://www.simviation.com/hjg/downloads.htm? There is a bunch of historic planes there!! There are a number of C-124's but seems to be for FS2002 unfortunately.

Keep 'em airborne!

I just went into AH to see all the glory and $$$. Man, can you believe this. Got a wrecked airplane (insurance, thank goodness) and late deleveries to boot. Knocked down the Rep almost 5 points!! I figure that is going to take me about 15 hauls to make that back. They are not going to be happy campers tomorrow when they come to work.

Hey Super Air Haulers: I've been playing around with this new Beast in the Company called the A400M. All the test hopping has been outside of AH and I've had a chance to review all the documentation that came with it and all the systems functions. The Program is very good and well developed.
I don't think that this is my kind of airplane. As a simmer, I am a pilot. I like throttles, rudders and bad weather. I like flying! This Beast is a locomotive that has wings and has an all controlling computer that lets you know when you can add yourself as a component of flight. Sure, it will haul freight, but it is a flying computer that has no emotion. Nahwwww, just like you guys have shelved your C-130's, this thing is going on the shelf too. When I fly, I want to be in full command.
Maybe I'm just a raw horsepower, radial engine guy. Hmmm. C-124? Got any ideas about this and what sweet baby do I need. :))
Keep'em level...haul'in freight tonight!

Hi Guys:
We just got our first glimps of Brazil from one of my AI's.

Hey Guys;
Here is a new one. I am on final at MPHO and make a smooth touchdown. Just getting on the brakes and my righthand wheel strut fails. Gear collapased.
Did a real nice ground loop on the pavement right in front of my office! If figured that my Rep would take a hit for that. but no, just insurance claim.

Hey Kip

I just tried MRLM lol... well i was usin default scenery in FSX and i had trees at the one end LOL - wasn't too bad. However, i was setting up a flight from an airport slightly north - forget the name - and it had trees growing on it LOL
