The Flight Simulator Network

A Different Approach

Has anyone tried TileProxy for FS2004? I thought I might give it a try. I've used G2XPL for X-Plane and have been pretty impressed with it.

I am surprised to find so little chatter on TFSN about TileProxy... I have been using it almost exclusively for two years now with both FS9 and FSX and now can't sim without it... I'm hooked.

Thanks for the wonderful forum!

That video was incredible. It's hard to decipher what's real and what's simulated anymore. May I ask from incredibly naive questions about TileProxy?

- What does TP do to structures (airports, buildings) within the sim?
- How much detail can you achieve, and how low can you go before things get 'blurry' (for lack of a better word)?
- Should developers like Orbx feel threatened by TP, or is there a way for them to coincide?
- Where does TP get its data (google/yahoo/msn)?

Always wanted to know!
Dave
